more from the early years of momness

well I got up early today and was going to have a nice lazy day when my friend Sue called and said and Tom were coming by. I had to get the house freshened up and made an awesome taco salad and chocolate cake. It is now two p.m. and no sign of those two. We went ahead and ate some by ourselves and it was good. They missed out, totally!
After writing about Ki the other day, I really started thinking about all my little saved up memories of the girls singing. When Ki was about two we were coming home from town, we lived on White avenue in Adelanto at the time, when I hear her singing in the back seat. " Frosty the snowman was a charly happy soul, with a Popeye pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of GOLD!" well,I was driving while laughing silently until tears were running down my cheeks. It was the cutest thing ever. Another of my favorites was another car trip, we have always lived twenty or so miles outside of town, I had the radio on to a country station. Kimbre, my second girl child was in the habit of playing the radio at night when she went to sleep. Apparently on a country station as well. I would guess kimbre to be around four or five years old at the time. So we are driving along when she starts singing along to the radio, "I was drinking champangne, feeling no pain, till early morning. dining and dancing with every pretty girl in the room." Well, what a bizzare group of words to come out of your little girls mouth! I cracked up. A few minutes later she's singing "there's a tear in my beer, and I'm crying for you dear!" I knew I would have to be careful what kind of music she listened to , that's for sure.

Kimbre still has to sleep with the TV on. It started young.
