first family party

well,this saturday i am hosting the first of what i hope will become a regular event, a picnic in the park for the whole family and any hanger ons. I have worked pretty hard to make sure that people have a good time. we will be having a white elephant exchange, hand made gift giving, potluck food and celebration of any anniversaries and birthdays that happen to be close to the date of the picnic. we are also playing volleyball, basketball, cards,and a hoola hoop contest. i have another party planned for the first saturday of august when ki is here with all my sweeties. that one is a potluck bbq with an all age treasure hunt set up by grandpa mike! also it will be at the north lake beach and include my moms family, my dads family, scots family, and maybe my aunts and uncles from missouri and arizona. I hope everyone will see how to do it at this first one then they can help out more with the next one. anyway i hope it goes good because i do miss getting together with all of them. the date on the august one is not set yet because karis is going to have her baby that week too. we will see.
